WNBA Book Discussion Group

Join us for our next book discussion group on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Nashville Public Library, Richland Park Branch, located at 4711 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN. We will be discussing The Greater Journey by David McCullough, a story of hundreds of Americans who migrated to Paris between 1830 and 1900, and the profound effect the City of Light had in shaping American art, writing, science, medicine, and politics upon the return of these Americans to the United States.

The book discussion group is free and open to the public. E-mail Joanne Slaughter at joanne [at] garyslaughter.com for more information.

We hope to see you there!

In connection with our next discussion, we will have a private tour of the Visions of the American West: Masterworks from the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. This overview of the exhibition will be on Saturday, February 4, at 10 a.m. We will meet on the third floor in the Stallworth Gallery of the museum - elevator stop 2B. The tour will last about 1 1/2 hours and will cover the highlights of the art and Plains Indians artifacts.

You might like to join us for lunch in the Pineapple Room and then return to the exhibition and leisurely view the masterworks not covered in the tour.

Please e-mail Joanne Slaughter before February 1 at joanne [at] garyslaughter.com if you are interested in the tour and/or lunch.
